\nGraag wil ik opheldering over de hoeveelheid werkzame glucosamine in uw capsules. Zojuist heb ik mijn bestelling ontvangen, maar voor ik de potten openmaak wil ik graag het volgende weten: op de site staat dat jullie per dag 2010 mg voorschrijven. Op de verpakking staat echter dat er in de voorgeschreven 2 tabletten 1500 mg zit, waarvan 1190 mg elementaire glucosamine en 510 mg kaliumchloride (samen 1600 mg??). Kunt u mij uitleggen hoe het zit?

\nOnze excuses voor de verwarring. Het heeft er mee te maken in welke chemische samenstelling de glucosamine wordt aangeduid. Er bestaan verschillende manieren en die lopen nog wel eens door elkaar.<\/p>\n

Het duidelijkst wordt het waarschijnlijk voor u als we de drie mogelijke aanduidingen noemen, waarbij er steeds een element wordt weggelaten:<\/p>\n

– Glucosamine sulfaat 2 KCl = 2010 mg per dagdosering (2 KCl is het zout kaliumchloride, ter stabilisering)
\n– Glucosamine sulfaat = 1500 mg per dagdosering.
\n– Glucosamine = 1190 mg per dagdosering (ook wel ‘glucosamine base’ of ‘elementaire glucosamine’ genoemd).<\/p>\n

Het gaat hier dus steeds om exact hetzelfde product, maar dan op een andere manier opgeschreven.<\/p>\n

De middelste aanduiding wordt veelal gebruikt door reumatologen, wetenschappers en in de pers. Het is de meest bekende aanduiding. De laatste aanduiding (glucosamine base) is een aanduiding die sinds kort wettelijk verplicht op het etiket moet staan.
