De concentraties zo laag zijn dat zelfs de verfijnde testapparatuur vrijwel nooit de aanwezigheid van zware metalen kan vaststellen. Het resultaat ligt dan onder de detectielimiet van de apparatuur. De heel enkele keer dat er wel iets wordt gedetecteerd is de hoeveelheid zo laag, dat die ver onder de toegestane limieten ligt.<\/p>\n<p>Het is theoretisch gezien mogelijk duizenden capsules van onze omega-3 per dag (!) te consumeren zonder boven de toegestane limieten te komen.
