How can Osteo-10 help you?
- The vitamin D3 and calcium in this supplement help to counteract loss of minerals from bone tissue in women after menopause. A lower bone mineral density increases the risk of bone fractures.
- Osteo-10 contains all the essential nutrients which contribute to preserving normal bones. These are magnesium, zinc, manganese, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin C, vitamin D3, vitamin K2 and protein.
- The 32 grams of protein in a daily dosage contribute to preserving and repairing muscle mass.
- The vitamin B12, vitamin C and magnesium reduce tiredness and exhaustion.
- The vitamin D3 reduces the risk of falls due to postural instability and muscle weakness. Falls are a risk factor for bone fractures in men and women from age 60 onwards.
Please note: Osteo-10 has not been formulated to preserve cartilage. Use our supplements Arthro-5, Glucosamine, Chondroitin or ASU Forte for this.
Ask Kris Kuiper, MSc,
exercise physiologist
What makes Osteo-10 so unique is that it contributes, not only to preserving bone density, but also to preserving muscle mass and even to rebuilding lost muscle mass.
From around the age of 40, most people, both men and women, lose muscle mass and muscle strength. This happens very slowly and initially goes unnoticed. The loss of muscle mass is usually accompanied by an increase in the amount of fat tissue. After some time, that youthful body has disappeared.
Preserving muscle mass is something which more and more people are paying attention to. Many people above 40 do fitness training which is specifically geared towards keeping their muscles in shape.
Besides adequate muscular exertion, a healthy diet is also necessary to preserve muscle mass. Eating enough proteins is an essential factor here. Osteo-10 contains 32 grams of high-quality protein per daily dosage. This amounts to 64% of the protein reference intake for an adult person. One Osteo-10 shake contains enough protein to optimally preserve and even rebuild muscle tissue.
By choosing Osteo-10, you are choosing quality. We can guarantee it in the following way:
Natural product. Osteo-10 contains natural ingredients including vitamins derived from fermentation and vitamin D3 from lanolin. It is free of the unnatural mirror images of vitamins, which can be unhealthy. It does not contain the potentially dangerous minerals iron and chromium either.
Safe product. The producers of the ingredients of Osteo-10 fulfill GMP and HACCP requirements. This means that they follow strict procedures which ensure food safety and hygiene.
Independently tested. The end product is randomly tested for heavy metals and biological pollutants by the independent laboratory NutriControl. Click on the microscope symbol below for the most recent test results. Read more about the independent laboratory tests here.

1200 grams of Osteo-10 powder.
This is approximately 60 measuring spoons (the measuring spoon is included), enough for 30 daily portions of 2 measuring spoons.
Composition per daily dosage of 2 measuring spoons:
Allergens: milk protein, lactose and soy (soy lecithin).
Nutritional value: see the table at the bottom of this page.
Preparation
Mix 1 level measuring spoon of Osteo-10 (20 grams) per 100 ml of milk, water, or fruit juice, or make your own favourite mix recipe (or 2 spoons per 200 ml). The measuring spoon is included. You will receive a useful mixing cup for free with each order of one or more bottles of Osteo-10.
Use
Take a maximum of 4 measuring spoons of Osteo-10 per day.
Intake of Osteo-10 with whole milk and/or a meal containing oil or fat promotes the absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins D3 and K2.
Dietary supplements must not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. A balanced diet contains enough vitamins.
The vitamin K2 present in this supplement can have an influence on the effect of vitamin K antagonists. These are anticoagulant coumarin-based medicines (the most well-known are marcoumar, coumadin, fenprocoumon, acenocoumarol, and warfarin). Do not take this supplement in combination with this type of medication without consulting a doctor. Other blood thinners such as aspirin, rivaroxaban, and dabigatran do not pose a problem.
Do not use within a period of 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking calcium channel blockers, bisphosphonates or quinolone or tetracycline antibiotics.
Do not use in combination with antacids containing calcium carbonate and/or magnesium carbonate.
Do not use in case of impaired kidney function.
Osteo-10 is the only supplement in its category to contain all the essential nutrients to preserve normal bones:
Together they provide a unique dietary supplement which contributes to both bone density preservation and muscle mass preservation and repair. Sometimes there is a story behind the choice of ingredients. You can read more about this below.
MINERALS
Contains per daily dosage of 2 measuring spoons (40 grams):
Phosphorus is sometimes mentioned as a negative factor in bone health. This applies to phosphate-rich food such as some fizzy drinks in which calcium is not present. When one consumes a lot of phosphorus and very little calcium, the body will obtain calcium by extracting it from the bones in order to restore the balance. Osteo-10 however provides calcium and phosphorus in the proper balance (2:1) through which this supplement in fact has a positive effect.
The product is formulated with calcium from actual food; the calcium is naturally present in the protein sources incorporated in Osteo-10. Excessive calcium intake from traditional calcium supplements has been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. This is not the case when a more moderate amount of calcium from actual food is used.
VITAMINS
Contains per daily dosage of 2 measuring spoons (40 grams):
Almost everybody has heard of Vitamin D3. Vitamin K2 however is often missing in many supplements even though this vitamin is essential for bone health. Vitamin K2 ensures that the calcium ends up in the right place in your body. Together these vitamins safeguard the preservation of normal bones (among other benefits).
The Osteo-10 protein shake contains calcium. While vitamin D3 promotes proper absorption of this calcium (and phosphorus) into the bloodstream, vitamin K2 guides calcium to all the right places in the body. Calcium cannot be properly absorbed into the bones and is deposited in undesirable places in the body if there is a lack of vitamin K2. Vitamin D3 and K2 work as a team and cannot do without each other.
You will understand that vitamin D3 with K2 is a logical combination for a dietary supplement.
PROTEINS
Whey protein and micellar casein protein complement each other well. In Osteo-10 they are present in a 60:40 proportion. This proportion is tailored to normal bone support and muscle preservation in people from age 40 onwards.
Whey protein and micellar casein protein are two special proteins. They are almost perfectly in line with human protein requirements. This can be seen in:
1) Easy digestion
2) Maximum exploitation by the body
3) Quick absorption as well as sustained release of nutrients
Intact proteins
The whey protein and the micellar casein protein are extracted from milk by means of special filtration methods. The temperature is monitored closely during filtration. The milk proteins are not subjected to any aggressive treatments such as with acid. The original form and function of the casein and whey proteins are maintained to the greatest extent possible through a meticulous production process.
An 'intact' casein protein is called 'micellar casein'. Micellar casein provides a more sustained release of nutrients than 'damaged' casein (caseinate). Micellar casein also provides easily absorbed calcium and phosphorus in a more balanced proportion.
Pure proteins
The proteins in Osteo-10 have been obtained through a process of several successive filtration steps. The elaborate filtration process is costly but assures a high degree of purity. It ensures a low content of milk sugar (lactose), among other benefits. A daily dosage of two measuring spoons of Osteo-10 (40 grams) contains only 1 gram of lactose, which contributes further to easy digestion.
You can combine Osteo-10 with Natural Multi, our multivitamin supplement, very effectively. Which is even a good idea, because Natural Multi contains vitamins and minerals that are outside the operating range of Osteo-10. For instance, vitamins A and E, selenium, iodine, and various B vitamins.
Some vitamins and minerals are present both in Osteo-10 and in Natural Multi. Specifically, vitamin C, D3, K2, and the minerals zinc and magnesium. If you take the standard daily dosage of Osteo-10 (2 measuring spoons) in combination with the standard daily dosage of Natural Multi (2 capsules), you will be consuming justifiable quantities of these vitamins and minerals. Natural Multi can even enhance the potency of Osteo-10 by the extra quantity of vitamins D3 and K2.
The combination with Natural Multi is discouraged only when you choose to take the maximum dosage of Osteo-10 (4 measuring spoons). In this case you might consume too much vitamin D3 and magnesium.
